The Rubens “0202” Tour

The Rubens new “0202” album tour needed a design that was budget conscientious while still being impactful. Matt was tasked with coming up with a floor package design, that would deliver on both budget and visual impact in addition to meeting the creative needs of the band.

It was important for the band to maintain their pub gig origins, and to deliver a show that maintained a moody and dramatic feel.

Through the use of some traditional looking “rock n roll” elements blended with the use of newer lighting technologies, Matt was able to complement the dynamic new set played by The Rubens.
The new “0202” album brought a new “pop” feel, with some of their original “alternative rock” numbers. A design that was both flexible and dynamic was needed to visually compliment their set.

Matt delivered a tight, structured and dynamic show that played to audience at a time when live music had not been played to audiences in nearly a year.
The simple, yet impactful floor package catered for the newer songs in addition to their well know hits.
