Matt Jones - Lighting Designer & Director
Matt began working in the lighting and entertainment industry in 2007, working across many areas including corporate, live events and touring, and film and television broadcast. Since 2014, he has been touring with some of the biggest names in the music industry.
Highlights of his career to date include touring the world as the Lighting Director for Ed Sheeran’s record-breaking Divide World Tour (2017-2019) and the current Mathematics Tour (2022 - 2023), and serving as Lighting Director / Operator for the State Memorial of Australian Music Legend Michael Gudinksi AM (March 24 2021).
Matt is passionate about bringing life to live music through lighting, working closely with artists/bands and designers to realise their vision, by drawing upon his eye for detail and expert knowledge of lighting programming, design and operation.
Matt prides himself on his clean, tight and structured approach to lighting direction, and his friendly and easy-to-work-with manner.
